Aneka is a formidable advocate bringing a decade of litigation experience to Jiwaji Law. Aneka’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and securities disputes, particularly securities enforcement, regulatory investigations, and administrative proceedings, as well as intellectual property enforcement, tax-related litigation, and defamation claims. Aneka represents companies, founders, directors, investors, and professionals in trials, appeals, judicial reviews, class proceedings, and urgent applications. Her focus is on complex disputes that require strategic analysis, strong advocacy, and an understanding of both business realities and regulatory frameworks, particularly where legal issues and reputational risk intersect.
Aneka’s litigation background spans several respected regional, national, and international law firms, as well as, most recently, one of British Columbia’s leading commercial litigation boutiques. Aneka also brings direct regulatory insight to her securities litigation practice. Her previous role as Litigation Counsel – Enforcement at the British Columbia Securities Commission, along with her LLM in Securities Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, has provided her with deep experience in capital markets regulation, enforcement proceedings, whistleblower matters, and compliance oversight.

Her combined experience in private practice and regulatory environments allows her to provide clients with effective litigation representation supported by a comprehensive appreciation of risk, compliance, and long-term strategy. Aneka has also been involved in precedent-setting litigation in British Columbia that has helped shape the province’s evolving commercial and regulatory landscape.
